As part of the preparations for the Olympic games, Athens has acquired a new metro with three new railway lines being added to the original single line. Extensive archaeological excavations took place in advance and museums have been erected in several of the railway stations to show some of the finds. We look at the excavations at Syntagma and Acropolis stations, and the abortive station in the Kerameikos cemetery.
